Special Meeting - April 28, 2009

Meeting called to order by President Eibler at 7:00pm in Library Meeting Room.

Present: Peg Eibler, Sally Crouch, Richelle Hocking, Michaelene Farrell, Duncan McIntyre

Absent: Stella Campbell.

Also Present: Holly Hentz, Christine Weber, Anne Seurynck, Patron Appeal 2009-1.

1.      Motion to approve agenda as presented made by Crouch, seconded by Hocking.  Motion carried.

2.      Motion to move into closed session to consider material exempt from disclosure by the Michigan Library Privacy Act made by McIntyre and seconded by Crouch.  Roll call vote: Crouch, Aye; Hocking, Aye; Farrell, Aye; McIntyre, Aye; Eibler, Aye; Campbell, Absent.  Motion carried.  Entered into Closed Session at 7:05pm.

3.      Motion to adjourn closed session and move back into open session made by McIntyre and seconded by Crouch.  Motion carried.  Entered into open session at 8:13pm.

4.      Library Board discussed statements heard during closed session.   Based on the facts and information discussed in closed session, I move to deny Patron Appeal No. 2009-1 and uphold the decision to suspend Patron No. 2009-1 until October 8, 2009 made by McIntyre, seconded by Crouch.  Roll call vote: Crouch, Aye; Hocking, Aye; Farrell, Aye; McIntyre, Aye; Eibler, Aye; Campbell, Absent.  Motion carried. 

5.      Call to the Public – None.

6.      Motion to adjourn the meeting made by Farrell, seconded by Crouch.  Motion carried.  Meeting adjourned at 8:18 pm.
